Diabetes:

• When controlling the blood glucose level does not work a person is said to

have diabetes

• In type -1 diabetes the cells that secrete insulin in the pancreas is killed by

the body’s own immune system

• This type usually develops when person is young child

• The blood glucose concentration stays high this condition is also called as

hyperglycemia

Symptoms:

• Dry mouth, Blurred vision, eart rate and breathing rate may increase

Hypoglycemia is a condition o! low blood glucose level" #ells do not have a

supply o! glucose to release energy by respiration

Symptoms:

• $erson !eels tired, %how con!usion and irrational behaviour, %ometimes

 become unconscious

Treatment:

• #heck blood glucose concentration regularly

• Test their urine sugar 

• &at little and o!ten

• 'void large amount o carbohydrate diet

• $eople with type ( 1 diabetes have to take insulin in)ections• Do regular e*ercise
