Kindness Day Tuesday, November 13, 2018 is National Kindness Day, we want to encourage everyone to participate in a random act of kindness to spread positivity, happiness and compassion in our campus and community. Being kind is good for you and those around you!

Did you know? The month of November got its name from ancient Romans. The word November is derived from the Latin root word “novem” meaning “nine”. Originally, in the ancient Roman calendar, “November” was the ninth month, this was later changed to be the eleventh month. November is National Marrow Awareness Month, The Be The Match Registry has been raising awareness since 1986 when it was founded. This organization encourages people be marrow donors to save lives! November is also national gratitude month, which in fact, goes hand in hand with Thanksgiving Day, a holiday that observes and celebrates gratitude for what we have. In light of this, this Thanksgiving Day remember “He who forgets the language of gratitude can never be

on speaking terms with happiness.” - C. Neil Strait.

Transfer Day On October 9, 2018 Palo Verde College successfully hosted “Transfer Day”. Representatives from many universities were present on campus in the courtyard. Students who participated in this event had their questions answered and received information about the opportunities that are available to them upon transfer.

College Day at PVHS On October 10, 2018 Palo Verde College participated in Palo Verde High’s College Day. Different departments were present to give information and answer any questions that the PVHS students had regarding Palo Verde College. ASG Officers participated in this event to tell students more about Associated Student Government and why they should consider joining in the future. This event enabled the opportunity to get students engaged and interested.
