Design Factory Korea (DFK) is part of the Design Factory Global Network (DFGN)– an innovative and interdisciplinary network creating collaboration between the similar - minded people, projects and platforms.

Shared understanding and common ways of working enable Design Factories in the network to collaborate efficiently across cultures, time zones and organizational boundaries fostering radical innovations. Global projects within the network bring talented students together with skills and knowledge from different fields and cultures to think critically and solve complex problems creatively.See more: dfgn.org

The easiest way is to join the DFK Capstone Project as a sponsoring company. In the Capstone project, students conceive, develop and generate innovative services and products.

DFK Industry ProjectDesign Factory offers diverse programs for corporate sponsorship.

1

The second way is to join sponsor of

Customized DFK Project. Customized Projects needs time and effort in designing the budget, schedule, and project challenge. However, it will provide the company a tailored project just for their needs. Projects are possible to do in collaboration with other Design Factories thus making it global project utilizing skills and knowledge from two or more countries.

Outcomes For Partner CompaniesDFK Projects offer companies new inspiration and solutions from the creative mind of students. It is an easy way to meet students, professors, and start a co-operation with Yonsei University.

Our partner companies will get a proof of concept solution to the provided challenge, supported by research and design-led innovation process. In addition, the partner companies will experience the development process together with the students, and therefore gain both tangible and intangible benefits and learning experience. The partner will gain most by bringing an open co-creation mindset.

Each company sponsor assigns a contact person for the student team who follows the process and contributes to the project. The company should allocate up to two weeks of working time during the project. We are open to companies of all sizes.

Final DeliverablesThe student teams will deliver

The final form of prototype depends on the direction the team and the company collectively decide to take the project. Past projects have produced product prototypes, applications, digital service frameworks or combinations of these.

In addition, student teams are encouraged and supported to produce visual material for marketing, such as posters, flyers and web pages, establish Kickstarter campaigns, and if possible submit patent applications.
