Stay One Step Ahead Exceptional Performance1
and Protection with Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitoring
First and only CGM with single-digit MARD1 (Mean Absolute Relative
Difference).
Get the CGM that offers exceptional sensing performance.
Sleek, slim, and easy to see.The Dexcom G4 PLATINUM Continuous Glucose Monitoring
(CGM) System offers a modern design and a vibrant color
LCD screen so you can easily see glucose highs, lows and
everything in between to help manage your patients’ diabetes.
You’re serious about results, so don’t settle for just any sensor. Choose the one that delivers dynamic glucose patterns,
exceptional sensing performance2, and software that makes
identifying critical patterns quick and easy. Choose Dexcom
G4 PLATINUM and see the difference.

If your patients saw this instead, would they have responded differently?
If this was the meter reading, what would your patients do?
Even if your patients test frequently, a lot can happen between fingersticks. A number alone can’t tell you or your patients which way their glucose is headed and how fast it’s getting there.
With Dexcom CGM, patients can stop the guesswork and worries that come with making decisions based on a number. CGM allows you and your patients to make confident and informed decisions for optimal diabetes management.+
“My patient’s meter shows 120. He thinks he’s good to go!”
“My patient gets the same number but the end results are different.”
Sound familiar?
But is he really?
Speed and DirectionInforms Better Decisions
+ A minimum of 2 fingersticks a day is required for calibration. System may require more.
Dexcom G4 PLATINUM allows patients to directly and
continuously link behavior to glycemic control. This
powerful knowledge can be integrated into a
comprehensive self-management regimen resulting in
consistent compliance, improved HbA1c, and a higher quality
of life.3
The Endocrine Society found that adult patients who have
elevated HbA1c levels of at least 7.0% and are using a CGM on
a daily basis had a greater reduction in HbA1c compared to
intermittent blood glucose meter readings.4
92%of patients report Dexcom CGM helped improve their overall quality of life3
The CGM Difference Improved Glycemic
Control 30% more time in the
optimal ADA range5
Improved HbA1c Levels Lower HbA1c with
no increase in hypoglycemia risk6
Optimal Diabetes Management
86% of Dexcom patients reported broad improvement in perceived control and hypoglycemic safety7
CGM and Glycemic Control
Whether you’re trying to lower your patients’ A1c,
reduce their number of hypo events, or reduce glycemic
excursions, Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitoring
(CGM) gives your patients a complete and real-time
picture of their glucose levels to help avoid these events.8
Fingersticks alone can only alert you to patterns when
you have tested. But with CGM, you’ll see where glucose
is heading and how fast it’s getting there. With the
Dexcom G4 PLATINUM, you can coach your patients
to make informed decisions in the short-term while
mapping a pathway for long-term better health.

How CGM Helps Patients MakeHealthy, Well-Informed Decisions
CGM’s Effects on HypoglycemiaIntensive insulin treatment and lower A1C increase exposure to hypoglycemia, and this risk increases with
the duration of diabetes.9 The Battelino study below showed time spent in hypoglycemia below 63 mg/dL
was reduced in the continuous monitoring group, regardless of insulin delivery method (41%
reduction in pump users and 59% multiple daily injections users).10

Setting an Even Higher Standard in CGM1
When it comes to accuracy, Dexcom’s Sensor Geometry, Membrane Technology, and Algorithm are what set
us apart. Our commitment to continuously improve our technology enables us to deliver exceptional sensing
performance. The results speak for themselves.

The Dexcom G4 PLATINUM was designed to be discreet,
comfortable, and lifestyle friendly.
At 2.4 ounces, Dexcom G4 PLATINUM is light, compact
and discreet. In addition to its portability, the G4 PLATINUM’s
large color LCD screen, complete with trend indication
arrows, makes viewing and interpretation effortless.
A smaller receiver provides discretion, but operational
comfort is the cornerstone of compliance. That’s why the
Dexcom G4 PLATINUM system uses an insertion needle
described as virtually painless.**
**dQ&A market research study, Q1-2010. Dexcom SEVEN Plus study. Dexcom G4 PLATINUM uses the same needle and applicator.
Discretion and comfort make daily Dexcom CGM an easy choice.
Increased consumable durability makes for easy maintenance.

Sensor of choiceNo matter what your patients’ choice of insulin
delivery, CGM can benefit patients on multiple
daily injections just as significantly as those on
insulin pumps.12
If your patient pumps, Dexcom G4 PLATINUM
can be used to complement their insulin pump
to help fine-tune their insulin delivery therapy.
