SEAL RELAY DEVICE Here at Atlantic Pumps we strive to bring fresh

ideas and products to the market that help our

customer’s maintain a competitive edge. The Seal

Relay Device does exactly that.

Available as an extra on many Audex pumps, this

device is guaranteed to save you time and money.

The Seal Relay Device turns the pump off as soon as it senses any moisture behind the first seal. The

red light indicates a seal failure and the pump is

automatically turned off. This removes the risk of

the second seal failing and the motor burning out

which would clearly result in a costly pump

rebuild. This means you only have to replace a low

cost seal rather than the expense of a new pump

or refurbishment.

Furthermore, the pump is only likely to be out of

action for a matter of hours over against the

possibilities of a long and costly repair project or

long lead time on a new pump.

PUMP REGISTER The industry-leading online asset management

tool that helps oversee your pumps, allow-

ing you to maintain the highest level of service.

We record all the details of the pumps on your

sites, including make, model, head, flow, applica-

tion, general notes and a photo. Our compli-

mentary site visit includes registering all your

pumps, adding a reference tag and also making any recommendations for improvements.

MICROSILICA Microsilica is an admixture used in the production of quick drying and high strength concrete giving it

better engineering properties. Due to the high solids content it is critical to ensure the correct pump

is installed.

There are a number of options when pumping microsilica and two of the most common are outlined

below.

Xaire – Air operated pumps are suited to pumping all types of microsilica and are ideal for self-

priming applications.

SlurryPro – Heavy duty centrifugal pumps used in mineral processing and ideal where high flow is

needed. Use in flooded suction environments.

Best Practices

Ensure the pump has flooded suction. This reduces wear life and the risk of cavitation. If the pump

needs to self prime, an air operated diaphragm pump is needed.

Install a valve beyond the pump to allow clean water to be circulated around the system.

When installing in flooded suction applications, try to ensure the microsilica has the shortest

distance from to tank to pump.

DISCHARGE UNITS & FLOW METERS

The Discharge Unit is a stand-alone unit which measures recycled water discharge back into the

drains.

The Discharge Unit includes a 2” self-priming dirty water pump, Norstron flow metre, thermistor,

control panel and double floats and this sits near the discharge sump or lagoon and keeps a record of

the water discharged. It can be used in manual or automatic mode and can be built into a steel unit

for security and protection from the weather.

dirty and solids laden fluids. This makes them ideal for

measuring the discharge of dirty water off site.
