The Save the Tasmanian Devil Programis an initiative of the Australian and Tasmanian Governments.

It was established in response to the threat of Devil Facial Tumour Disease.

The Program engages with experts from around the world to give the Tasmanian devil the best chance of survival.

Key strategies: • establishing a healthy insurance population,

laboratory and field based investigations of the disease, and

the development of disease suppression and management programs in the wild.

The reality: feisty yet timid, raucous, and bursting with curiosity.
