Development Toolset (DT) is a comprehensive suite of tools, which support all phases of wireless terminal development, from pre-silicon protocol module development through to systems integration and verification. The hardware platform on which this toolset is based is also common to Anite’s other tools, including Conformance Toolset (CT) and SAS ensuring sound return on investment. Development Toolset is a continuously evolving product, which today includes the capability to test a wide range of radio technologies, from GSM through to WCDMA, HSPA, evolved HSPA and LTE. Development Toolset recognises the parallel way in which system level components for terminals are developed. The comprehensive range of tools allows the development of individual protocol layers in isolation (pre-RF chipset). The same tools (and test programmes) can be re-used later during the systems integration and verification phase. A flexible range of control interfaces ensures that the Development Toolset can be used straight out of the box for early development testing, and later for more complex testing once the design is more complete. Development Toolset includes tools to aid the early stages of mobile technology hardware and software stack development, such as: An Integrated Development Environment (IDE) – a single software development environment from which multiRAT UE tests for L1, L2, L3 can be developed, executed and results analysed L1 Simulator, a simple to use GUI based application for out the box testing of L1/PHY C++ API API (Developer’s API), which enables users to build their own custom test cases and scenarios for LTE – supporting the whole mobile stack from L1 to NAS A range of other tools to aid in running the tests and analysing the test results Development Toolset for LTE is an optional extension to the existing DT product. Anite’s development test solutions enable developers to use a single solution to facilitate an integrated test process from pre-silicon to interoperability.

Development Toolset includes tools to aid the early stages of mobile technology hardware and software stack development, such as:

• An Integrated Development Environment (IDE) – a single software development environment from which multiRAT UE tests for L1, L2, L3 can be developed, executed and results analysed

• L1 Simulator, a simple to use GUI based application for out the box testing of L1/PHY

• C++ API API (Developer’s API), which enables users to build their own custom test cases and scenarios for LTE – supporting the whole mobile stack from L1 to NAS

• A range of other tools to aid in running the tests and analysing the test results

Development Toolset for LTE is an optional extension to the existing DT product.

Anite’s development test solutions enable developers to use a single solution to facilitate an integrated test process from pre-silicon to interoperability.

Key Components • DT Integrated Development Environment comprising:

• Campaign Manager – test campaign organisation • Network Configuration Interface – viewing and

modifying test parameters during execution • Support tools - automation, Log Viewer, PDU

Manager, and PDU Constraint Builder modules • Developer’s API – rapid generation of multiRAT Layer 1,

Layer 2 and Layer 3 test programmes, using C/C++: • Quickstart reference configurations and modular

code framework • RR/RRC and NAS default signalling procedure

components• Library of Sample Scripts for Layers 1 to 3 – to accelerate

the development process • Layer 1 Simulator – for early baseband development Hardware Platform – SAT(E) and SAT(A) DT will run on the Agilent 8960 and the Agilent E6620A Wireless Communications Test Set. The E6620A for LTE incorporates a protocol stack jointly developed by Agilent and Anite. A prototype platform is also available for aggressive roadmap requirements and to enable increased agility in meeting rapidly changing needs. The main capabilities of E6620A are:

• 2G/3G/3.9G capable • 20 MHz BW • Data rates up to at least 100 Mbps downlink / 50

Mbps uplink • 2x2 MIMO & 4x2 DL MIMO • Digital baseband fading • Fully interworking with the existing Anite SAT

hardware Host Platform – SAT(H) DT will also run on Anite’s multiRAT SAT(H) – the industry’s leading protocol stack host tester. Protocol tests written using Developer’s API on SAT(H) will also execute on the SAT(E) and vice versa, enabling protocol stack testing prior to hardware and aiding fault isolation.

Key Benefits • Accelerates development timescales – use of

integrated test tools at each stage of the development cycle

• Single investment – supports all phases of the development process

• Reduces ramp-up time – access to tailored GUIs, for out of the box testing

• De-risks silicon – more extensive protocol module test prior to integration

• Common user experience – tools integrate with Anite’s CT and SAS

• ‘Ready when you are’ – functionality in advance of requirements

System Interfaces • A range of digital I/Q options, both real-time and

non-real-time, to support the different phases of development

• RF – for systems integration and verification over RF

• SAT(H) – for isolated host-based development of Layers 2 and 3 of the protocol stack
