April. 2020 CURRICULUM MAPPING •Both UMN and CMU curricula were mapped to determine: •where the OIE core competencies were being taught •how much time is devoted to each topic •what teaching methods are employed •the depth of coverage related to OIE detailed competencies •What is missing or covered only lightly (gap analysis) BILATERAL STUDENT EXCHANGES •2 Groups of students, resident, professor from CMU and UMN were participated in •Veterinary public health rotation/ clerkship •Farm-to-table course •Foodborne disease surveillance course •American/ culture cultural experience •Teaching and learning styles were observed. •Students provided feedback .
