What does office etiquette mean?

Etiquette – is a set of unwritten rules governing socially acceptable behavior, professional workplaces and relationships. The practices and forms prescribed by social convention or by authority. The word “Etiquette” is derived from French which actually means “ Ticket". your ticket to getting anything & any place you want. It is defined as a good behavior which distinguishes human beings from Animals Good business etiquette means that you act professionally and exercise proper manners when engaging with others in your profession.

3. Do not get involved in gossips
4. Avoid too many personal calls while at work

password if any for the needed connection.
3. Greet everyone, introduce yourself, your role
and location.
4. Learned how to mute and unmute your
device when listening and speaking.

1. Identify yourself when making a call
2. Address the caller by his name in a courteous manner
3. Keep conversation brief
4. Never be impatient
5. Listen carefully
6. Do not interrupt
7. Do not eat or chew something while speaking on the phone
8. If you wish to put the caller on hold, request his permission to do so
9. Close your conversation with an appropriate salutation
10. Let the caller hang up first
11. In case of missed calls, return the call within a reasonable period of time
12. If someone calls you by mistake, inform the caller politely that he reached a wrong number
