translated as, "adventurer".


Entrepreneurship is the willingness to take risks and develop, organize and manage a business venture in a competitive global marketplace that is constantly evolving.

A recent survey by Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) has revealed that Nigerians have more enthusiasm

for business than the rest of the world.

In 2012, the report stated, 21.7 percent of

Nigerians aged between 18 and 64 years of age

were preparing to start a new business, which is

the second highest rate in sub-Saharan Africa,

after Zambia, and 14.9 percent of adults were

actually running a new business

Your ability to sense a shift in the way business is done and quickly adjust.

• If you are proactive, you make things happen, instead of waiting for them to happen to you.

• Active means "doing something." The prefix pro- means "before." So if you are proactive, you are ready before something happens. The opposite is being reactive, or waiting for things to unfold before responding.

• Don’t be too fast to make a deal• Know what is needed before you make an offer• Know the value of what you are offering, or else you will

sell yourself cheap• Learn how to package what you are offering to meet and

surpass the needs to be met• Don’t reveal your need when you are making your offer.

The presence of your need can affect the perception people have towards what your are offering
