YST Resources and Learning — Youth Sport Award

The Youth Sport Award (YSA) is a reward and celebration scheme for young people aged between 10-24 years.

Its purpose is to evidence learning, progress and achievement in and through sport. Through personal reflection, it supports young people to build positive lifestyle habits and behaviours and empowers them to take ownership of developing their skills.

There are five different levels of the Award: Go, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

WELLBEING

A commitment to physical activity and personal health and wellbeing

ACHIEVEMENT

Gaining new skills or a qualification linked to sport

Bringing learning alive by managing a sporting event

Founded with partner Loughborough University, this scheme is the first of its kind to develop and grow leadership skills and character traits using the power of sport. It helps to support wider academic achievement and improve physical and emotional wellbeing by incentivising physical activity.
