Updating our Church in 2015
This year a long overdue partial remodeling of the
church was completed. A building campaign held a
year ago allowed us to fund the project. The organ and
choir section were moved to the north side of the al-
tar. We have a new organ and new music section with
elevated seats for the choir. There is a new video
screen and monitors that that allow parishioners to view
the words of the music or prayers without using
books. The screen and monitors can also be used for
videos and power point presentations. The next phase
of the remodeling project should begin in the
spring. The baptismal area in the Lake Avenue en-
trance will be filled in to make the space more usea-
ble. We are looking forward to our Christmas services
with these new additions. We are very proud of our
church.

In Memory Of During the month of November we remember in prayer those who have been called home to God.
The names inscribed in the book were remembered in our prayers all month long.
God has ENDOWED us with the Gifts of Life and
Salvation. One of the ways we can express our
gratitude is by INSURING the future of our School.
W hat is an endowment? An endowment is a gift of cash, investment securities, life insurance, real estate, personal
property, charitable trusts, bequests (gifts by terms of a will), or anything of value that can be sold and the pro-
ceeds reinvested. An endowment can memorialize an individual or family or the giver can remain anonymous. Funds are
conservatively invested to generate current income. The principle amount is never spent and continually provides annual
income to support your charity. Please think about Holy Rosary School for your charitable gift.

SPRING INTERLUDE WAS AT DETROIT MOUNTAIN
We were one of the first to have an
event at the newly reopened Detroit
Mountain Lodge on April 17, 2015.
The majestic setting was filled with
over 225 guests as we held our 14th
annual fundraiser. The Florence
Hutchinson Legacy recipient was
Carol Foltz, a past teacher of 17 years,
mother and grandmother alumni and
present students, and school advisory
council member. This event raised a
total of over $70,000 for our school
and also funds the music and art pro-
gram. We are grateful for the many
businesses that sponsored this event:
Knuttila Financial Services,
Lakeshirts, Foltz Trucking, Foltz
Buildings, BTD Manufacturing,
Morrison Eye Care, Midwest Bank,
Midwest Printing, Lakes Sport Shop,
and Speak Easy Restaurant. Also,
thank you to the many who donated
and supported this fundraiser. You are
all very much appreciated! Save the
date for the next Spring Interlude, The
Black and White Gala, which will be
held on Friday, April 15, 2016, at the
Holmes Ballroom. The black and
white attired evening will feature
raffles, live and silent auction items,
formal dinner catered by the Speak
Easy and entertainment and dancing to
the Front Fenders.
