Did the youth turn 18 years of age in a DHHR placement? Has the youth completed their high school education? Does the youth plan to attend a college/university/vocational school that accepts the FAFSA application? Please be sure to make a referral to the program within 3 months prior to the semester when the youth is ready AND before their 23rd birthday. Is it likely the youth will be turning 18 years of age in a DHHR placement? Was the youth adopted through DHHR on OR after the age of 16? Did the youth go through the Legal Guardianship process with DHHR on OR after the age of 16? Will the youth be completing their high school education within the next 6 months? The youth’s referral can be made closer to the youth’s completion of their high school education. Does the youth plan to attend a college/university/vocational school that accepts the FAFSA application?
