The biggest component of a DC to DC converter are the Inductor L, and the Capacitance C

Typical dc/dc controllers sacrifice efficiency by having a long fixed dead time between the high- and low-side MOSFET drivers to prevent shoot-through current. The dead time needs to account for maximum MOSFET gate capacitance. Though it prevents shoot-through, efficiency is lost during the low-side MOSFET parasitic diode or external Schottky diode conduction time.

In Bench test, we found that there is another kind of stability issue.
So far we have no answer. The unstability looks independent
of the inductor value and load current. This kind unstability can be

Summary
For MIC2288, there is unstability issue as the input voltage is closed to
the output voltage. The bench test data gives serveral stable area plots
All plots give this kind of information that as the feedback resistor Rb value goes low,
the stable area increases. In the report, there are three group plots for three values of Rb,
that is, Rb=11K, Rb=1K and Rb=100. We need to base on the marketing requirment and three group
plots to determine if we need more work on the MIC2280.
