B orn out of its creators perso-nality, following his tracks, Lexon and Ren Adda are lookalikes: just as him, collections that speak about an irrepres-sible passion for trans-formation: moving places and ways of experien-cing everyday life. Simultaneously a modest and infinite task: it allows a kind of permanent youth for Lexon and its products during the last twenty three years. Products that are molded by the uses of those to whom they are made for, constantly evolving, always truthful to that line that got drawn from the very beginning: to serve functions as ef-ficiently as possible, at home or at the office as well, renewing the plea-sure one may get out of it. A peculiar drawing, or is it a material, a techni-cal twist? Altogether, or

distinctively, every Lexon product gets its history. Together, they take part in an adventure: one of an incredible international growth. In a more distinc-tive manner, sharing reco-gnition from some of the highest institutions (mu-seums, juries, schools). Most of all, they answer to needs and require-ments of an ever growing audience, ever refreshed clients.

  • All of Lexon products answer to a shared com-mon perspective: a de-sign foreseen as deeply rooted in life.

Lexons creations are born out of users requi-rements. They answer to needs: being useful, efficient for the one that travel, or organizing his working space, his home environment. Creations that anticipate desires and expectations, taking part in a carefully set emotional sphere, a ma-terial and sensitive set-ting. Designed with plea-sure, in order to generate

a distinctive fever to alter our everyday surroun-dings. Lexon products follow a dream, though maintain an attention to use and service.

Design in Life : Lexon lays stress on an aspect that should go without further saying - design that keeps its feet on the ground, though always look behind the horizon line.

  • Mathieu Lehanneur has juggled with contradictions for 10 years to produce a design which regularly exceeds its boundaries and catches the attention of prestigious clients internationally. He is a creator of iconic objects which immediately summarize a time, a place or a brand. Lehanneur therefore returns to simply good and useful design by refer-ring to natural history more than to design history; for him the user is above all a body, a place of chemical exchange whose physiology is to be attended to in order respond to its needs, desires, or emotions. It is an exploration of natural and technical possibilities which let him to produce objects which are equally functional and magical, as well as both original and friendly. An intuitive or very real recognition, he sometimes even col-laborates with scientists and doctors to invent new ergonomics when confronted with our tangible challenges: to breathe better; to sleep better; to love better; to live better. In my opinion about LEXON, there is always the requirement in the design, the intel-ligence of the object, the understanding of the behaviors and of the current ways of living. As far as I am concerned, I always try to ask myself the question of usefulness and desirability. The Take Time responds to my questioning because it perfectly com-bines function and aesthetic.

Adrian and Jeremy were born in England in 1975 and 1979 respectively. Adrian trained in Mechanical Engineering followed by Industrial Design Engineering at the Royal College of Art. After graduating, he spent three years designing products and furniture for British architects Norman Foster and David Chipperfield. Jeremy studied Industrial Design at Brunel University and, after graduating in 2002, worked for Philips Design in London. The brothers formed their practice, DesignWright, in 2005 and have gone on to design products for a variety of international clients. Their work, which is characterised by an appreciation for both the visual and technical aspects of a product, has received numerous design awards. The four years that we have been working with LEXON have been some of the most productive and rewarding since we founded our studio. We are given a lot of design freedom and are heavily involved throughout, from concept generation through to how its produced. This is a natural way for us to work and allows us to push the limits of a
