u Playing Card RSVP included dinner selection and requested guest information

u Grand Prize Ticket listed top prizes on the front and sponsors on the back. Employees perfed off their grand prize ticket stub and put it in the drum.

u Ticket was glue-spotted to inside of invite; RSVP was on reverse

u Variable Membership Rewards Card,place in drum for prizes

u Dinner selections (for waitstaff) and cocktail notice printed and die-cut using standing 4” die

Develop a targeted, high-end image piece to leave with executive-level clients and prospects. Describe services provided as a story about why Suttle-Straus’ lineup of services matters to them.

WORK

u 20-page booklet, including:

• Stock photography • Customized photography, including

images shot by myself and other Suttle-Straus staff and supplied historical photos

• Copy was written collaboratively by myself and two others

• Printed on a dull FSC-certified stock with spot UV dispersion coating

Create a sleek and innovative presentation folder for for sales representatives and executives to put company materials and print samples inside. The goal was to create a piece that didn’t represent a printer, but instead a forward-thinking, creative, and technology-based marketing services provider.

u Custom die-cut capacity folder printed on silver metallic stock with double hits of black and white inks and coatings.

2005-2006 Catalogs, mailed to schools and libraries across the United States; customers and prospects.

WORK

u Catalogs of books specific to age, curriculum, language, state program, and in conjunction with Accelerated Reader and other programs

u Sections divided by title, author, level, genre, level, dewey number, etc.

u Each catalog included its own unique sections with easy-to-use tabbing system

u Most catalogs included inserts or reply cards

u Data was pulled from Filemaker and flowed into QuarkXpress via XData (I exported data, wrote all the scripts, flowed and manipulated the data)

u Secured models, locations, and directed all photography

OPPORTUNITY

Spring 2006 K-8 New Titles Catalog. Past new titles catalogs have used less color and newsprint stock. This time we decided to promote excitement with very active layouts and bright colors on glossy, bright white stock based on the theme of each genre.

WORK

u 96-page full color glossy catalog mailed to teachers and librarians

u Success could not be measured as the assets of our company were sold shortly after production

u Design and production from start to finish took less than three weeks

CLIENT

OPPORTUNITY

Create two curriculum catalogs, one for grades K-8 and one for 6-12. Combine stock photography with studio book product shots to save cost. Stress the durability of the product (product-focus).

WORK

u Copy was written by me for each of the kid images referring to reasons why Turtleback Books were the best choice for their classrooms and libraries.

u Catalogs were such a successthat our parent company, DEMCO, Inc. asked me to create reading promotions based on this idea.

CLIENT

U.S. Cellular

OPPORTUNITY

Create “illboard” and banners for the Illinois State Fair. U.S. Cellular was holding a texting event/promotion on the fairgrounds which was next to the interstate. They requested a “billboard” banner to be large enough to be seen from the interstate and act as a billboard, but also dress up the venue for the event, which was next to a barn. The “banners” needed to be secured to the barn. Each banner was grommted and secured with rope to the building.

WORK

OPPORTUNITY

Update booth and banner for trade shows and events using new brand colors and softer image. Create cohesive look with website.
