Designers to design by, taking the most common requirements across the most vendors and designing for these tolerance and capabilities.3) Ind. Designers creates preliminary 3D and 2D dimensional drawings with details like tolerances and finish requirements. These are not final, but really close to what we will be manufacturing. The 2D drawings would include all the critical detail like finishings, tolerances, etc. For example, the surface finish on the face plate and metal frame needs to be very fine, while the finish on the battery plate cover does not, it only needs to be comfortable to wear. This affects things like initial mold price and mold lifespan.4) We take these initial drawings and get budgetary estimates so we can select vendors/suppliers.5) Ind. Designers finishes final design, works with selected suppliers to sort out any final issues.
