    1.0.0 INTENT 1.0.1 The purpose of this document is to bring out clarity with regard to the following:

    a) System description and Basic operation & Control Philosophy b) Major technical requirements of various items covered under this

    package c) Scope, exclusion

    1.0.2 Approved copy of this document shall form the basis for subsequent approval of elevator vendor documents (by Client /their consultant or by BHEL)

    1.0.3 During execution of the package by BHEL through approved vendor the elevator will be governed by IS code and manufactures standard practice.

    2.0.0 SERVICE DESCRIPTION

    Passenger elevator shall be provided for access to various operating floors / platforms in TG hall, Service Building, Administrative Building and ESP Control Room to facilitate movement of operating and maintenance personnel.

    3.0.0 OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 3.1.0 Elevator shall have provision to meet following operational requirements: 3.1.1 Selective simplex collective, automatic operation with or without attendant

    through illuminated push button station located inside the lift car. 3.1.2 Door operating shall be automatic and infrared curtain type electronic door

    protection system for opening / closing of car and landing doors. 3.1.3 Car operating panel shall be provided with luminous buttons, car position

    indication in car (both visual and audio) combined with direction arrows, overload warning indicator, battery operated alarm bell and emergency light and fan and hands free speaker telephone set

    3.1.4 Two (2) push buttons, one for upward movement and the other for

    downward movement at each intermediate landing and one (1) push button at each terminal landing shall be provided in order to call the car. Digital car position indicator at all floors, tell tale lights at all floors shall also be provided.

    3.1.5 Push buttons shall be fixed in the car for holding the door open for any

    length of time required. 3.1.6 Other facilities shall be as per details indicated in data sheet placed under

    Annexure-I. 4.0.0 Electrical Requirements

    The motors will be squirrel cage type suitable for operation at 415V (+10% to -15%variation), 3ph, 3 wire, 50 Hz (+3% to -5% variation) supply. The motors will be with class-F insulation with temperature rise limited to class-B. The motors will generally conform to IS-325 and suitable for AC variable voltage variable frequency (VVVF) application. Other detail shall be as indicated in data sheet placed under Annexure-I.

    5.0.0 Performance and functional Guarantee The functional guarantee test shall be carried out at site for over speed test and over load test, travel and hoist speed checks.

    6.0.0 Painting Schedule 6.1.0 All items shall be treated with anti corrosive epoxy based paint for the ferrous metal items except for the items of SS construction, which shall not be painted. 7.0.0 EQUIPMENTS DESIGN CRITERIA/DATA SHEET 7.1.0 The design criteria / data sheet indicating major parameters/ MOC to be

    followed for elevator with different type of switches, push buttons, Counterweight, Lighting &fan, Control and operation along with other relevant details of elevator shall be as mentioned under Annexure- I.

    7.2.0 For other mechanical items, if any, design criteria / data sheet shall be as per Elevator vendors standard practice.

    7.3.0 Electrical items shall in general be in line with BHEL standard specifications.

    8.0.0 SUB VENDOR ITEMS All sub- vendor items shall be as per BHEL internal approved sub-

    vendor/Elevator suppliers internal vendor list. Customer approval on the same will not be sought.

    9.0.0 MANDATORY SPARES Order for Mandatory Spares has not been received from Customer.

    Accordingly, no mandatory spares have been considered for this package. 10.0.0 SCOPE OF WORK 10.1.0 Scope of Supply

    Scope of supply shall be as per Annexure-I. 10.2.0 Scope of Services

    Scope of services shall comprise of the following: a) Erection & Commissioning of Elevator. b) Assistance for obtaining statutory approval

    11.0.0 DRAWING/DOC TO BE SUBMITTED DURING DETAIL ENGINEERING Following are the list of vendor drawing/doc to be submitted to customer during detail engineering for approval :

    a) GA and civil input for Elevator b) Data sheet of elevator c) QAP
