It was a very tough decision to disperse our purebred herd as we have enjoyed our time in the business immensely and have met some wonderful people and for that I am truly grateful. We will remain in the business of raising Simmental cattle just on the commercial side of the industry. A special thank-you to the fabulous people at Lockhart Valley Simmentals, Lee and Tina Robson have gone above and beyond for Michelle and I since we purchased our very first package of open replacement heifer calves at their bull sale many moons ago (2 of them are in this sale).

Dayna has to be considered a can’t miss heifer out of a real nice Tymarc cow I purchased a couple years ago. I purchased this guy at last years Lockhart Valley/Beagle Simmental Bull Sale from Beaver Head Ranches (Darryl Williams) as a calving ease sire to use on heifers. Darryl is a very astute cattle man and really does his homework when it comes to numbers. This bull’s pedigree really is the who’s who in calving ease and maternal traits. With Shear Force and Bravado among others in the background, I was really excited to see his first offspring. I had a bit of bad fortune last winter with the fantastic Captain Morgan son I had purchased from the Maxwell Simmental program, through no fault of his own he was unable to get to the breeding grounds so Kevin and Glen did me a huge favor and let me use Discovery to get me out of a bind. I was instantly impressed with this smooth looking, chunk of a bull when I picked him up. Discovery is a top ender when it comes to favorable birthweight and then bringing home the bacon with performance. This guy really made some waves a couple years ago at the Genetic Source Sale for the good people at Oakview Simmentals, and I was happy and surprised to land him. He is a bull with a lot of jam for a 82 lb birthweight, he is as dark red as they come, and clean fronted. He is an ideal mixture of calving ease and still packs a lot of punch as you can see from his offspring in this catalog. Breeze may not be the most attractive eye-appealing lot in the sale but take my word for it she has done a whale of a job as one of the best producing up and coming performance cows in our herd. She has a raised good strong solid bull calf both of the last two years, 2 for 2! Being bred to Capone for a January baby only sweetens this pot.. I honestly can’t say enough about this cow, bought as a bred heifer from the good people at Little Willow Creek she has done nothing but put 2 top end cattle into this sale, a fantastic heifer (BEAG 7D) and a bull that for any other year would be my lead off (BEAG 14E). Flossie is a moderately framed cow that is beautifully put together and is as broody as they come. This little sweetheart of a cow came to us from the Moose Creek dispersal sale, she is another cow that has done a wonderful job for us. She is a quiet low maintenance cow that puts everything she has into her progeny. She keeps very well and I can see her producing for a long time. Here’s the Queen, one of the original cows bought as heifers from the wonderful Lee and Tina Robson at Lockhart Valley Ranch. I can’t say enough about this cow, the quality of udder, foot and body structure is second to none. The plan was to flush her last year and well it just unfortunately didn’t work out. BReeDInG GUaRanTee: This is a dispersal sale. All female cattle will sell on the latest preg test check information with no further guarantees. All bulls are guaranteed to be fertile & reproductively sound in accordance with the rules & regulations recommended by the breed associations. All bulls will be semen tested at the expense of the seller.

eXCePTIon To GUaRanTee In the cases of bulls, they are guaranteed to breed naturally according to applicable Canadian breed Association guarantee, but no guarantee is given that semen from any bull will freeze.

ShIPPInG Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale, but Sale Management or Seller assumes no risk. Expenses incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser. Purchasers are requested to furnish shipping instruction when making settlement.

WInTeRInG oF BUllS The seller will winter the bulls free of charge until April 1, 2018. These bulls will be delivered free of charge, after semen testing, by April 1, 2018.
