The activity of this blend is based on the tyrosinase-enzyme inhibiting activity of phytic acid and the constituents of the white mulberry extract. Tyrosinase is the key catalyst in the melanine synthesis. In addition, both components have antioxidant capacity and thus protect the skin from oxidative stress.

The whitening efficacy is proven in a study by an external test institution. Over a course of 8 weeks, a gel containing 2% dermofeel® enlight was applied twice a day on selected age spots on hands and face of 20 participants. The effect was compared to a placebo gel in a blinded study design.
