Some tips

• Events are key – we do 8-10 per year (some informative, some pure networking)

• Partnership events go down well (other areas & organisations)

• Charge appropriately for event space

• Make sure all sectors are covered

• An advertising element is key (especially for larger businesses)

• Treat sponsors slightly differently

• Don’t underestimate how much time is needed for administration and event organisation

• Review constantly and keep adding value

• A “Trusted Brand” needs a robust code of conduct
