Overview

• Operational controls can provide real time monitoring and control.

• Approvals can delay creation of documents until they are approved.

• Alerts notify key users of issues as they happen. Allows issues to be addressed before filtering into the system.

• Blocks will block transactions from occurring if the meet defined criteria.

Approval Flow• When approvals are activated

documents created will be saved as a draft.

• The Authorization users will get notification that a document need approval.

• Once approved, originator gets a notice document was approved and is ready for generation.

• Document cannot be edited by the originator.

Transaction Notification• Blocks are code placed in SQL that will prevent a transaction from

going through.

• If a transaction meets the criteria to be blocked, the user will see a red bar and message at the bottom of the window.

• Used frequently in Production• Examples:

• Prevent Receipt date from being greater than Planned date. “Receipt From Production Date Cannot Be Greater Than Production Order Due Date”

• Block Production Goods Receipt greater than $30,000 “Document Total is Excessive, Double Check unit of measures.”

• These types of Controls are installed by Orchestra.
