Developing Effective Practicefor Swimming Teachers
The purpose of this book is to promote effective quality teaching, so that swimmers have the best possible learning experience throughout the course of their aquatic journey. This book
is targeted at supporting the technical content for candidates learning to teach swimming at Levels 1 and 2 for programmes leading to national accreditation from an approved awarding
body for swimming. The book also acts as a reference for those swimming teachers who have qualifi ed and for school teachers (both specialists and non-specialists). In addition, this
textbook will support the delivery of the swimming skills for both programmes from the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK), Rookie Lifeguard and Survive and Save.
“This book will inspire trainee swimming teachers, swimming teachers of all levels and will be a brilliant additional to everybody’s swimming library. The industry has needed a book of this calibre for a very long time. I highly recommend this book to all involved in
swimming from the novice to the long standing swimming teacher.”Brian Brinkley, MBE,
