My husband Peter and I went back to Paris, where we revisited one of my favourite museums, Victor Hugo’s house on the pretty Place des Vosges. A weekend in beautiful, sunny Le Touquet last year. We took the coastal route from Calais, which is lovely, and makes the drive a more pleasurable experience. Bread and fresh pastries from the village of Hébuterne near to where my parents live. I would go for some tins of gourmet sardines produced by Connétable in Brittany or Gendreau in the Vendée.
