sponsored District level Essay Writing and Science Quiz

* The students of the department participated in a number of
workshops on Glass & Pot Painting, Fabric Painting, Modern
Art and visited export houses in Panipat.
* The department also organised a mega “Fashion show and
Exhibition” in which students of B.Voc. classes displayed their
self designed or stitched clothes.

* State Level Inter-College Media Fest (Prerna Utsav-2018) was
organized successfully in which students from different

the University, also get second position in Photography at

* Students participated in a number of events such as Debate,
Declamation, Poetic Recitation competition organised
elsewhere in Haryana and won a number of prizes.
* Mahamandleshwar Swami Kailashanand delivered valuable
talk on the occassion of Hindi Diwas.
* Students won first position in State Level Kamlesh Memorial
Poetic competition at Yamuna Nagar.

* Music (Vocal) dept. organized a five day workshop in which
Experts were invited to train the students in group song
Haryanvi, group song general, and western group song

in which students learned the technical aspects of Bansuri,
Algoja, Dhol, Chimta, Sarangi. The deptt. also organized a one
day workshop in which famous Veena player Pandit Salil Bhat
gave wonderful performance.

the extension lecture.
* Tour programmes of different tourist destinations were
organised by deptt.
Gandhian Study Centre & Department of History
* Organised a Seminar on Bhagat Singh in which Prof.
Jagmohan Singh from Punjab delivered keynote address.
* Organised a Seminar on Sahidi Diwas in which Dr. Chaman Lal
from JNU delivered key notes address on intellectual aspect of
Sahid Bhagat Singh.
* Organised Extension lecture of Dr. Pradeep Kumar from Hisar.

* Department of Physical Education organised Inter-college
Sports events of Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra in Basket
Ball, Cricket, Badminton, Chess, Football, Softball, Baseball
and Handball etc.

The Career Guidance & Placement Cell of the college organised various motivational lectures and invited
companies for campus placement drive and 150 students were selected in different reputed companies like
ICICI, Axis Bank, Pepsi, Coco Cola, Aquaguard etc. Recently in a campus placement drive, PNB Metlife also
recruited many students in insurance field. The cell also organised educational trips to the places like The
President House and Reserve Bank of India, New Delhi, The global talent track, Noida, and Barclay Bank,
Noida.

The BA programme course in Semester Mode is
meant to meet the need for an under graduate
programme and is relevant to the immediate
environment of social opportunities on one hand
and gives the students the basic intellectual tools
expected of a programme of higher education on
the other hand. The programme is structured by
the university to enable the students to acquire the
thinking ability, linguistic skills, and broad based
knowledge needed to enter the world of work. The
module of the programme is such that students is
required to take compulsory and elective subjects.
In the compulsory subjects, students is required to
take language paper of English and Hindi along
with papers of Environmental Studies and
Computer Education Level-I. In the category of
Elective subjects, there are three broad group of
subjects and the student is required to take any
two subjects from any two broad groups.
Pass in Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) of
Board of School Education, Haryana with English
as a subject or any other Examination recognised
as equivalent thereto by Kurukshetra University,
Kurukshetra
For admission in B.A. Part-I minimum marks in
qualifying examination is 35%.
There shall be no rounding off marks from 0.5%
and above to next higher number for determining
the eligibility the eligibility for admission to various
courses.
These conditions are the minimum eligibility
conditions for applying for admission to the
courses. Admission will be granted strictly on merit
basis after preparing the merit list of candidates
who have applied for admission as per the
procedure/instructions issued by Kurukshetra
University, Kurukshetra.

BA Programme
Economics (Honours) at under graduate level is one of the leading courses in the Arts Stream. Emphasis is both on
theory paper as well as applied papers. In this course, the students are introduced to a systematic study of resilience &
collapse of economic institutions in the face of a rapidly changing global environment. Economic theory trains one to
think critically about a range of complex issues. The process of rational decision making taught in Economics is of
great value irrespective of the career a person chooses. The students with Economics (Hons.) at under graduate level
are big asset for admission in MA (Economics) in the college.

The course provides hand-on exposure to tools
and techniques of Science and develops generic
core competencies in the use of laboratory
instruments, computers, data handling
techniques critical for understanding the
empirical nature of Science. It also includes
formal courses along with communication skills
in English, Hindi/Sanskrit, and provides
opportunities for addressing the issues of
societal concern through a course in
Environmental studies. Science graduates have
ample scope in the private as well public sector
understandings and research intstulis etc.
The college provides the B.Sc. programme in the
Semester mode in core stream of Medical and
Non-Medical. In the Non-Medical category, the
college provides additional programme in
Electronics and Computer Science.

B.Com. ProgrammeMinimum Eligibility Conditions
Pass in Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) of Board of
School Education, Haryana with English as a subject or
any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto
by Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra
For admission in B.Com-I minimum of 40% marks in
aggregate with commerce stream and minimum of 50%
marks in aggregate with Arts & Science stream are
required.
There shall be no rounding off marks from 0.5% and above
to next higher number for determining the eligibility the
eligibility for admission to various courses.
These conditions are the minimum eligibility conditions for
applying for admission to the course. Admission will be
granted strictly on merit basis after preparing the merit list
of candidates who have applied for admission as per the
procedure/instructions issued by Kurukshetra University,
Kurukshetra.

(i) Optional papers are divided into three optional groups i.e. Finance & Taxation, Marketing, and Human Resource Management.
(ii) Student opting for B.Com. (Hons) will have to opt for both the papers from the same optional group i.e. Finance & Taxation, Marketing, and Human Resource Management. Further, a candidate will have to continue the same specialization group opted once in 3rd semester in subsequent semesters also. Specialization group cannot be changed.

BBA PROGRAMME
BBA programme at our college provides the basic ingredient
to the students in the core business disciplines. The
programme helps the participants in acquiring the key
competencies needed by all business management
students at undergraduate level. The intensive BBA
programme focusses on enhancing the ability to
communicate, analyze situations and take decisions using
quantitative and qualitative factors. The curriculum of
academic programme is designed to provide exposure to
organisational working, to develop the understanding of real
corporate world, and to develop the understanding of real
corporate world, and to learn the application of theoretical
concepts in the real life business situations. The focus of the
programme is also on sharpening analytical and decision
making skills in advertising, market research, market
feedback mechanism. The students after completion of the
programme can pursue their own business or possesses the
necessary skills for working in the corporate world.
Minimum Eligibility Conditions
A student who has passed one of the following
examinations with English as one of the subjects
shall be eligible to join BBA Part-I :
