Apple May Have a Rainbow of Retina-Display Minis Under Wraps

The next iPad mini 2, expected to debut in the December quarter, may have a high-resolution display

and come in an assortment of colors other than black and white. The switch to Apple's famous Retina

screen would bring the next-gen mini in line with the company's other iOS products -- and this isn't the

first hint that Apple may be adding more color to its iOS line.

How to Send Encrypted Emails through Gmail? Secure Gmail is a beautiful Chrome extension that gives you the

ability to encrypt the messages and send it to any Gmail user. You‟ll

be provided with an encrypted password which you can send to the

recipient either via mobile (SMS/Call) or Chat. The message will be

decrypted only by using the password which is known to both of you.

So, there will be no chance of third-parties to get a hold on the

information you‟ve sent. It‟s pretty simple.

1. Install the secure gmail extension on your google browser.

2. Once installed, you‟ll notice a „lock‟ icon beside the compose

button in your inbox.

3. To send an encrypted email, simply click on the lock icon and it will open the compose window in a secure mode.

4. Enter the message you wanted to encrypt and click „Send Encrypted‟ button.

5. You‟ll then be prompted to enter the password & hint to recover it in case you forget your password. Remember it

and send it to your friend (recipient) via text or chat.

6. The recipient can only read your email message with the encrypted password sent by you. When clicked on the

email from the Gmail Inbox, it asks the recipient to enter the password to decrypt the message.

7. That‟s it! You can now send and receive encrypted emails via Gmail using the Secure Gmail extension.

Note: Both the sender & recipient should have the Secure Gmail extension installed on their Chrome browser for the above

process to work.

Unfortunately, this awesome extension is available only to the Chrome users.

Protect your Computer from Cyber Attacks

How precious is your personal or business information? If you think that cyber attacks or

data breach is no big deal or it won‟t happen to you because you feel you are plain lucky,

then you can avoid this article. However, if you even have the slightest concern about the

security of your information, then this article will prove helpful.

How secure you think your information is? Before we begin with this section, let‟s dissipate some myths. Simply installing an antivirus

program and keeping long passwords will not keep your computer safe. An antivirus is

nothing without awareness. It gives protection, but that protection is partial. Besides, there are

many types of malware that may hack into your computer, which your antivirus is not capable

or sufficient to restrict. If you click on a Phishing link, no matter how strong your password

and how expensive your antivirus is, hackers stand a slap-up chance to breach into your

computer.

About Passwords : If your password is a single word, it will take about 3 minutes for a hacker to hack it using a dictionary attack.

Once the attacker gets a password, it becomes really easy for them to breach into others as most people have

the tendency to keep a single password for most of their accounts. If you click on a link (accidently or

thinking it to be something else) and the link runs a silent download in the background. And if the virus that

is downloaded in your computer turns to be a “keylogger”, then this virus is going to record every keystroke

on your computer, which includes account numbers, passwords, bank details, social security numbers, etc.

Cyber Awareness :

To control cyber attacks, there are few things that you need to take care of. These include a sound

Internet Security Suite, which gives protection from all kinds of malware threats and you need to keep

it up-to-date always. Other security measures are: Using Smartphone for baking purpose is risky as the security is not up to par yet.

If you are banking online, make sure to close all other windows and tabs and ensure that the

bank URL comes as “https”.

If you are on a public Wi-Fi (for e.g., Coffee shop, hotel, library, airport, etc), then use a proxy that lets you encrypt all your

data.

While sending confidential emails, use encrypted or secure email.

Always logout or sign out from your account. Do not just close the tab or window without signing out.

Password protect all your mobile devices and the password should be strong and an alphanumeric value.

Do not click on random link ever. It may be a Phishing site.

Importance of Ganesh Chaturthi :

Ganesha Chaturthi is the Hindu festival celebrated on the birthday (rebirth) of Lord

Ganesha, the son of Shiva and Parvati. It is believed that Lord Ganesh bestows his

presence on earth for all his devotees during this festival. It is the day Shiva

declared his son Ganesha as superior to all the gods, barring Vishnu, Lakshmi,

Shiva and Parvati. Ganesha is widely worshipped as the god of wisdom, prosperity

and good fortune and traditionally invoked at the beginning of any new venture or

at the start of travel. The festival, also known as Ganeshutsav ("festival of

Ganesha") is observed in the Hindu calendar month of Bhaadrapada, starting on the

shukla chaturthi (fourth day of the waxing moon period). The date usually falls

between 19 August and 20 September. The festival lasts for 10 days, ending on

Anant Chaturdashi (fourteenth day of the waxing moon period).
