Should I choose (the Focus) MTEC?

If you are curious… Why do technologies fail to impact society?

The non diffusion of clean technologies

Why do most start ups fail?

Plenty of start ups, lack of growth

How can we do better?

Why do governments set up policies?

Innovation policies, venture capital finance, consumer protection etc.

And the most important question of all:

How can we succeed (or at least learn from failures)?

Develop a systemic understanding of the interplay of technologies, institutions and

broad society

Learning objectives

We aim to develop MTEC Students to ...

… understand Technology, Management, AND Economics

… enhance their analytical skills to become systemic problem-solver

based on a solid scientific background

… develop decision making and leadership skills in an interdisciplinary and

intercultural environment

The ability to work in teams is at the core of innovation, and we will learn it in

practice thanks to the multicultural and interdisciplinary context of the

class.

By teaching MSc students together with MAS Students, we combine

analytical rigour with practical relevance within our programme.
