Guilt and Shame: Obstacles to Accept-ing Support March 20 8:30-10:00 Guilt and shame are two of the predominant obstacles that contribute to resistance in ac-cepting support from others. To understand re-sistance we must really develop some insight into the personal assumptions about these twin feelings. This session will be an ideal time to begin the process of disconnecting any guilt and shame from the past that compromises healthy living, as well as offering the opportu-nity to more fully understand the role of as-sumptions in blocking our willingness and ability to accept support from other people. This session is being presented by Jeff Luke-hart Ph.D who is consistently one of our most popular presenters.

also be taught how to predict psychotic re-lapses and what to do about them. Pseudo-Dementia in the Elderly Depression can give anybody more than just a bad hair day, but it can actually mimic demen-tia in the elderly. Since getting older, with all its attendant losses can be a bummer on the best of days, playing heads up to depression in the elderly can be critical. We will discuss what to do about this important diagnostic is-sue when case managing geriatric clients.
