➢ Balwadi Day Celebration

14/9/19

Balwadi day was celebrated by the department of Human Development

students. The Principal, Dr. Bhavana Chauhan presided the programme. The

event was held under the guidance of Dr. Mittal Barot. Balwadi teacher Ms.

Priyanka Patel, decorate balwadi and prepare the students for balwadi day.

Balwadi students also celebrated “Red Color” day and nicely dress up. All

the students of Human Development department and the parents of balwadi

were participated of this event.

➢ Expert Talk on “Nutrition for Children and Myths”

An expert talk was organized for the students of Human Development and Balwadi

parents. Ms. Shazia Sharma (resource person) helped parents and student to

understand the facts about children and nutrition. It helped the beneficiaries to clear

many of the doubts and misconceptions that they had related to child’s nutrition. 52

students from S.Y. & T.Y.B.Sc., participated in this expert talk. Balwadi parents

also took part and discussed with the expert.

➢ Recipe competition

Packed lunch for Nursery school children competition was held for Balwadi

parents. The idea behind the competition was to come up with interesting menu for

kids which not just looks eye catchy and delicious but is healthy for the young

kids. The recipes were judged by Ms. Minal Chauhan and Ms. Tanvi Makwana.

Total 13 no. of parents participated in the competition.

➢ Exhibition for Educational Play Material for Children

Exhibition was organized to display the educational play material for children. The exhibition

was organized and held under the guidance of Dr. Mittal Barot. Balwadi parents and the college

students visited the exhibition. Total 80 students visited the exhibition.

Workshop on Origami

Workshop on Origami was organized by the faculty of Human in Development for 6th and 7th

standard Children. Total 45 no. of students participated at Zol Prathmik School. The

workshop was facilitated by Dr. Mittal Barot. This programme was only for girls. The expert

also guided the students regarding adolescent problems.

This activity was collaborated with NSS camp.

➢ Guest lecture (“Establishment of NGO and Management”)

Guest lecture was organized on the topic “Establishment of NGO and

Management” by Vikrambhai Jograna Madhuvan Foundation for the students of

Second year and Third year. Total 37 no. of students attended the Lecture.

➢ Educational Visit (Place: Blind School Hostel, Nana Bazar V. V. Nagar)

Students of Second and Third year visited Blind School Hostel at Nana

Bazaar, V.V. Nagar as part of curriculum. Total 37 no, of students visited

the institute. The visit helped the students to understand the teaching

learning system functioning for Blind students.

➢ Workshop on ‘Embroidery’

A skill-based workshop was organized on “Embroidery” by Ms. S.G. Barot. The

workshop was held for the students to explore the skills of embroidery and how it can

be transferred on the objects related to children such as cushion and bedsheet covers. It

had total no. 27 active participant in the workshop.

➢ National seminar

01/08/2020

National Seminar was held at N.V. Pass College Auditorium on “The Social Awareness of

Prevention of Teenage Pregnancy and Its Consequences.” It was facilitated by Dr.

Maitri. Dr.Mittal Barot, and T.Y.HD students Sejal Bharvad, Rinkal Bharwad, Minaxi

Chauhan, Krupali Dhandhukiya and Manisha Algotar attended the seminar. Participated

students also discussed the point with their classmates.

➢ Community Service Progrmme

18/09/19

Students of Third Year prepared paper bags and distributed in the community as a part of NSS

collaboration. The activity was intended to convey the message to the community of switching to

paper and cloths bags, and reducing the use of plastic bags. They also emphasized on the concept

‘reuse’. The activity was guided by Dr. Mittal Barot and total 27 no. of students participated in this

activity.

➢ Workshop on Growth Monitoring

15/10/19

Workshop was organized for First Year students for Understanding the process of Growth

Monitoring. It was facilitated by Ms. Mittal Vaghela from Aanganwadi center. Total 140

no. of students participated in the workshop

➢ Slogan Competition

27/02/2020

Students participated in Inter college Slogan competition on the topic of “Child Rights” at

Deepakbhai Higher Secondary School, V.V. Nagar.
