Poster Presentation 2011 is the year of Census. In a bid to make students understand the concept and

information about the department organized Poster Presentation entitled ‘Census India 2011’. It was presented by S.Y. B. A. class. (Economics Special). The presentation was inaugurated by Prin. Dr. E.M. Khan. About 22 charts were presented related with information about the concept of Census as well as findings of the census 2011 and also it was presented in a comparative manner.

The charts presentations competition was organized at Green Galaxy of our college on 25th January 2012 at Green Galaxy in our college. The themes were -

INSTITUTIONAL VISIT TO COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE BANKING

The students of Arts faculty were taken to College Of Agricultural Banking,Pune. They visited Archive Museum and Financial Inclusion Financial literacy Cell.The Reserve Bank of India Archives (RBIA) Pune, earlier known as Central Records and Documentation Centre (CRDC) was established on 24th August 1981 with the twin objective of serving as a repository of non-current permanent records and as Central Archives of the Reserve Bank of India for research purposes. Financial inclusion is a state in which all people who can use them have access to a full suite of quality financial services, provided at affordable prices, in a convenient manner, and with dignity for the clients. Financial services are delivered by a range of providers, most of them private, and reach everyone who can use them, including disabled, poor, rural, and other excluded populations. The Reserve Bank of India has undertaken a project titled "Project Financial Literacy". The Objective of the project is to disseminate information regarding the central bank and general banking concepts to various target groups, including, school and college going children, women, rural and urban poor, defense personnel and senior citizen.

Seminars / Workshops / Conferences Organised by the Department Seminar on Cooperative Movement : An Instrument for Development

In consistent with theme announced by UNO i.e. Year 2012 – International Year of Cooperation, on 7th February 2012 the college has organized a seminar entitled ‘Cooperative Movement : An Instrument for Development’. The seminar was attended by 66 students from arts faculty.

The objectives of the seminar were- To develop understanding of students for the concept of cooperation and its contribution to the

development. To discuss future of cooperation in the light of Globalization. To discuss the challenges posed to the cooperative banking sector. To discuss contribution and constraints of cooperatives in the field of sugarcane, dairy etc.

The programme started with recitation of verses from Holy Quran. Terawatt- E –Quran was done by Mr. a student from T.Y. B.A.

QUIZONOMICS Quiz Competition named QUIZONOMICS was organized by department for the students of arts and commerce. It was written quiz competition. The quiz contents were multiple choice questions based on syllabus and Indian economy, capital market, banking, public finance, international happenings etc.
