About Department

We started our journey in the year of 1996.To produce highly qualified, well rounded and

motivated graduates who can meet new technical challenges, contribute effectively as team

members and be innovators in computer hardware, software, design and application.

To pursue creative research and new technologies in computer engineering and across

disciplines in order to serve the needs of industry, government, society and scientific

community. To inculcate strong ethical values and responsibility towards society.

This has been achieved by the collective and responsive effort of the faculty, the supporting

staff and the students.

Department Role The department is well equipped with excellent computing facilities, and has highly

qualified faculty specialized in areas like Multimedia Communications, Wireless

Networking, VLSI design, Data Mining etc.

The department is organizing workshops, IN-Plant training, industrial visits and

Faculty

Development Programs.

The courses leading to a Diploma in Computer Engineering was started in the year

1996.

The department presently has highly qualified and experienced staff on its role. The

department has well equipped laboratories on the following subjects.

Object Oriented Programming

Advance Java and Java Programming

HOD DESK

Department of Computer Engineering is one of the latest branches of Engineering in modern

era of technology. It is rapidly growing field with a wide range of job opportunities.

The Technical Education Department aims towards making available the trained and

technically qualified hands to serve the industry & society. We are working hard to improve

upon the quality of education.

The department organizes Workshops, Expert Lectures, Seminars, Industrial visits and

extracurricular activities from time to time to provide our students and faculties to interact

with their peers from across the country. Our students are trained to develop a balanced

personality and will prove to be an invaluable asset to an organization.

“Enhance skills by providing value based technical education for fulfilling global needs in the

field of computer engineering.”

MISSION

M1. To provide quality education in computer engineering by improving psychomotor skills.

M2. To develop positive attitude, communication skills, team spirit and entrepreneurship.

M3. To develop awareness about societal and ethical responsibility forprofessionalism.


PEO (Program Educational Objectives)

After completion of the diploma in Computer Engineering, students will be able to:

PEO1. Become competent engineer in computer industry to work as a programmer,

administrator in a team or as an individual.

PEO2. Communicate effectively among employees, customers and society.

PEO3. Pursue higher studies in relevant field of engineering with a desire for lifelong learning.

PEO4. Become a successful professional with ethical and societal responsibilities.

PSO (Program Specific Outcomes)

The Diploma in Computer Engineering will prepare students to:

PSO1. Use advanced technologies for application of computer software and hardware.

PSO2. Maintain the computer hardware and software system.

Objectives

Educational objectives are as follows :

1. To make valuable contributions to development and implementation in the practice of

computer science and engineering in related information technology areas, and at the

interface of computers and software's.

2. To make strong communication skills, technical skills and the ability to function

effectively as part of a team.

3. To demonstrate a sense of societal and ethical responsibility in all professional

endeavors.

4. To engage in professional development to pursue flexible career paths amid future

technological changes.

5. Function and communicate effectively to solve technical problems.
