The Cambridgeport Community School is a community‐based program that focuses on programs/activities and special community events for school‐age children to active older adults. We welcome community involvement and suggestions to help provide services to the neighborhood in our efforts to develop a strong community based program. Council meetings will be held regularly for neighborhood residents to attend. For additional information about these meetings contact the Director.
Registration Procedure Registration will begin Tuesday, April 10th from 5:00 P.M. ‐ 6:30 P..M. in the schools Cafeteria. When your name is called you will simply drop off the registration forms with payment and you can leave. Registration continues on Wednesday from 7:30 ‐ 9 A.M and it will be on a First come ‐ First serve basis. After these dates please drop off your child’s registration form in the Community Schools Mail Box in the main office. Class selection will be based on available spaces. For more information call 617/349‐6307. If you cannot come to register at the times listed above because of a prior commitment, please contact the Community School Director at 617‐349‐6307. Our Spring Session will begin on Monday, April 23rd and will end on Friday, June 15th. Please Note: An Annual Application Fee of $20.00 per child is required at registration. (This fee is applicable for the School Year Only).
Payments Full payment is required with registration. However, we can arrange a payment plan with individuals. Please
make checks or money orders payable to the Cambridgeport Community School. Return checks will be charged
an additional $25. Full payment must be made within 48 hours to avoid disrupting service for your child.
Refunds and Cancellations
Classes with insufficient enrollment will be cancelled, in which case a replacement class may be selected or a full
refund will be issued. A full refund will be given before the second class meets. Partial refunds will be given if a
participant is no longer able to participate due to medical reasons. Refunds will not be given if a child miss
classes.
Financial Assistance
Partial Scholarship is available for eligible families. Please request a Financial Aid Application or see the
Community School Director. Income verification is required (W2 form or copies of your 4 most recent paychecks).
If you are applying for Financial Assistance, a 50% payment is required at the time of registration.
Scholarship Donation
We welcome your contribution to assist us with scholarships for other families. You may sponsor a particular
program or contribute to our general scholarship fund.
Picking up your child
Our instructors leave after their classes end, and cannot be responsible for student supervision once their class is
dismissed. Please assist us by picking up your child in the cafeteria at the end of his/her class or make other
arrangements to have your child picked up on time. Please sign out when you pick up your child. Let us know
immediately if you have made a change in your child’s schedule or if someone other than yourself or your
emergency contact will be picking up your child. Please call if you are delayed for any reason.
GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION & POLICIES
Late Fees
There is a late charge of $1.00 per minute, per child past the regular pick up time. Fees must be paid within
48 hours to avoid disrupting your child’s schedule.
Early Release Days
Our regular schedule classes will not be held on early release days. A special activity or field trip will be
planned for an additional cost. A flyer of Early Release Day Activities will be distributed throughout the
school.
Holidays, Vacations and Snow Days
Classes are not held on City Holidays, School Vacations, Snow Days or other days that the Cambridge Public
Schools are closed.

Cport Junior Masters of Golf NEW PROGRAM Grades 3 ‐ 6 2:45 ‐ 3:45 $40 7 Mondays Instructor: Wade Lindhorst Watch Out PGA here comes the Cport Junior Masters of Golf. This is a fun and easy introduction to the world of golf. We will focus on the development of basic swing fundamentals and golf concepts that relate to scorekeeping, strategy and etiquette. We will supply the balls and clubs while playing fun golf games such as; Golf “n” Bowl, Frisbee Golf, Croquet Golf, Target Golf and other golf activities.

In the last class we will share our stories and art while learning about each other’s family. A low key game will be played every week, while learn‐ing basic skills of the game. The height of the basket is adjusted to a lower height to enable the students to achieve successful shots. Smaller balls will be used to learn basic skills such as dribbling, passing and shooting that will be taught in this class. Each week a game will be played to promote teamwork as well.
Drumming with Jafar Cambridge Performance Project Grades K ‐ 2 2:45 ‐ 3:45 $80 8 Tuesdays Instructor: Jafar Manselle In this class we will learn some African style drumming and students will express themselves through dance.
Swimming at the YMCA Grades K ‐ 5th 2:45 ‐ 3:45 $ 80 8 Tuesdays Instructor: YMCA Aquatic Staff With the summer right around the corner, this is a great opportunity for your child to enjoy swimming lessons. We will walk to the YMCA after our snack, and return to the school by 5:00 pm. You may also pick your child up at the YMCA at 4:30.
Wacky Olympics NEW PROGRAM Grades 2 ‐ 6 3:45 ‐ 4:45 $40 8 Tuesdays Instructor: Leah Breen “Faster, Higher, Stronger, Wackier” This could only mean one thing—The Wacky Olympics are in town! Students will enjoy Wacky Olympic Games while learning about team‐work, healthy competition and athleticism. They’ll crawl, throw potatoes, and race with three legs as they strive for the gold.
Warhammer @ Pandemonium Bookstore Grades 4 ‐ 8 2:45 ‐ 4:45 8 Tuesdays $40 Instructor: Dennis Keane Each week participants will walk to and from Pandemonium Bookstore with a Community School Staff. They will enter a fantasy world where the armies of Order (Dwarfs, High Elves, and Empire) and Destruction (Greenskins, Dark Elves, and Chaos) collide to determine the fate of nations. Invade enemy
lands, besiege imposing fortresses, and sack sprawling capital cities for the glory of your Realm

Team spirit and self confidence... This is Wade’s Wide World of Sports! In this class, students will get to experience many different sports. We will play and learn many different versions of the popular sports such as floor hockey, basketball, soccer, flag football to name a few, but students also will have a chance to try many miscellaneous sports from all over the world.
