Online Poster Making Competition
On the 130th Birth Anniversary of
Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar
From 14th – 20th April 2021.
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar popularly known as Babasaheb Ambedkar is the father of the Indian
Constitution. Born on April 14, 1891, Ambedkar faced severe discrimination as he belonged
to Mahar caste. Dr. Ambedkar spearheaded the anti-caste movement in India, campaigned
against untouchability, social discrimination and fought for the rights of the Dalits and other
socio-economically backward classes throughout his life. He was a very well-known political
leader, eminent jurist, Buddhist activist, philosopher, anthropologist, historian, orator, writer,
economist, scholar and editor. He was posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's
highest civilian honour in 1990.
To commemorate the memory of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, and to give him a
humble tribute on his birth anniversary, the Department of Adult and Continuing Education
and Extension (DACEE), Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi is organizing an online Poster
making Competition from 14th – 20th April 2021.
Topics
a) Dr. B. R. Ambedkar- the icon of social justice
b) We the People of India
c) Values enshrined in the Indian Constitution
INSTRUCTIONS AND GUIDELINES
Eligibility for Participation
This online poster competition is open to all the Bonafide students and Research Scholars
pursuing Undergraduate, Post Graduate and Ph.D. Programs at Jamia Millia Islamia, N.D.

Language of Slogans/Verbal Message for Poster Making
The Slogans of the Posters can be in English, Urdu and Hindi.
Guidelines for Registration
• The participants will register via email by sending their details viz. Name, Enrolment
Number, Name of Course, Semester/Year, Name of Department and Faculty,
Contact number and E-mail Address.
• Participants must register on or before 14th April, 2021.
• Each participant can submit only 1 poster.
• NOTE- There is no registration fee for the competition.
Guidelines for Participation
• The poster must be made on the A3/B4 size sheet with margins drawn with black ink.
• Posters can be made on any of the above mentioned three topics.
• Poster design should be original and self-created by the participant.
• Poster should be made by hand by the participant. Photographs, 3D objects, print-
outs won’t be acceptable.
• The Poster must have an original catchy slogan/verbal message along with a visual
message or may contain just a visual message.
Presentations containing only a slogan/verbal message will not be considered
as a Poster.
• Students will submit an Undertaking of Original Work.
• Name of the student participant, Enrolment Number, Semester, Course of study,
Department and Faculty name must be legibly mentioned on the sheet in the lower
margin.
Timelines for the Competition and Submission of Entries
• Participants must register via email [email protected] on or before
14th April, 2021.
• The registered student participants will create the Posters and submit them via
email [email protected] from 14th April 2021 to 20th April 2021.
• The Posters received after 20th April 2021 will not be accepted.
Requisites for Submission
• Every email received must have the typed details of the student participant viz.
- Name
- Enrolment Number
- Name of Course
- Semester/Year

- Name of the Department and Faculty
- Contact number and E-mail Address.
• The email will have the following attachments
- A picture of valid Jamia Identity Card
- e-Bonafide Certificate from the Department/Centre.
- A clear Photograph of the created Poster.
- A clear Photograph of the student participant holding the created Poster
- Undertaking of Original Work
Judges
The entries for the Poster Making Competition will be judged by a Jury from Faculty of Jamia
Millia Islamia, New Delhi.
NOTE- THE JURY’S DECISION WILL BE FINAL AND BINDING.
Judgment Criteria
The Jury will select three best entries ranked at 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
The Judgment criteria will be based on the following parameters:
• Relevance to the theme
• Originality
• Creativity
Declaration of Result: 26th April 2021.
1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders of the Poster Making Competition will be given e-
Certificates.
e- Certificates of Participation will also be emailed to all Participants (Bonafide
students) of the Poster Making Competition.
NOTE- THE DACEE WILL HAVE COPYRIGHT TO ALL SUBMITTED ENTRIES FOR
FUTURE USE, PUBLICATION AND DISSEMINATION.
