INVITATION
Cardiovascular disease is the main cause of morbidity and mortalityin chronic kidney disease patients.
Cardiovascular and renal disease are closely linked through differentmechanisms such as chronic inflammation, dyslipidemia, calcium – phosphorusmetabolism abnormalities, or comorbid conditions such as arterial hypertension, coronary artery disease and diabetes which may affect the heart and the kidneysat the same or in different times. Alternatively, different hereditary (such asPolicystic kidney disease) and/or rare (such as Fabry’s disease) diseases also mayimpair simultaneously renal and cardiovascular functions.
The third edition of the Cardio-Nephrology meeting will review the vastarray of comorbidities and metabolic abnormalities from the cardiorenalsyndrome to the metabolic consequences of chronic kidney and heart diseasethat occur as the glomerular filtration rate decreases and link kidney andcardiovascular diseases.
The key features of the CardioNephrology 2017 are represented by thescientific sessions dedicated to the close interactions between heart, kidney andlung together with nutritional aspects in cardio – renal patients. Heart failurewill be discussed both in acute and chronic kidney disease patients. Lecturesdedicated to imaging will underscore potentials and limits of available diagnostictools. CardioNephrology 2017 will also focus on cardiovascular diseases inpatients with vascular access and right heart dysfunction a common albeit oftenneglected issue among patients receiving maintenance dialysis.
The meeting is arranged on fourteen main sessions each of these preceded bya plenary lecture with eminent national and international speakers.
Cardionephrology 2017 is also characterized by pre – meeting educationalcourses on electrocardiography as well as medical statistics and epidemiologydesigned for young Nephrologists or researchers.
Enjoy Cardionephrology 2017 with us
