CYBERSECURITY

Space Coast Tech Council: Web Team Security; February 2016 – Present.

One of six total team-members working on the web site rebuilding and redeployment project.One of two team-members focused on providing cybersecurity-related contributions to the project.Currently researching, evaluating, and selecting cybersecurity-related tools; used for testing and forensics.Familiar with IBM’s “AppScan” software-tool; utilizing a trial-version to gain experience in code-level analysis. NIST SP 800-series publications, college coursework, and technical workshop training will guide security planning.Risks to the new website have been identified and prioritized with application-security risks at the top of the list.

United States Navy: Cryptologic Technician; July 1996 – June 2007.

Authorized user of communications security (COMSEC) materials (CMS-21(a)). Managed over $2.5 million in electronic, IT-related, and consumable assets at the fleet-level. Trained to operate complex information systems and perform analysis in support of information operations (IO). Provided classified document & material control services, as well as courier services for EA-6B (Prowler) operations.
