12th December 2016 under North Devon Council planningreference 61980 for change of use to a dwelling (Class QAand B). There is scope to create a highly individual andcontemporary 'Grand Design' which will be well detached andset in park like grounds, pasture and woodland, ofapproximately 10.94 acres which can merely provideprotection but alternatively may be suitable for use as a smallequestrian establishment.

The Barns are approached via a private 5 bar gated entrance,initially through a copse and then over a central firm trackwhich crosses a large private pasture field which is generallylevel. A bridge then crosses a stream and the barn complexenjoys a slightly elevated site built into the hillside and enjoysviews down the valley to the front over its own land and intothe distance. Beyond there are a series of smaller enclosuresall fence enclosed. DIRECTIONSFrom Barnstaple join the A361 towards South Molton, after ashort distance turn right signposted to Landkey andSwimbridge. Continue through the village of Landkey andonto Swimbridge, pass the Jack Russell pub on your right andtake the next turning right into Dennington Hill. Continue tothe top of this lane and at the Bydown signpost bear left.Continue for about a quarter of a mile and at the nextsignpost take the left hand turn signed Stowford andChittlehampton. Proceed along this lane for about 1/3 of amile and the 5 bar wooden gated access to the barn will beseen on the left hand side, surrounded by woodland.
