Description:
Bioenergi Sjælland is a project initialized on the autumn of 2012. It is an important step in a strategic energy
management system in the Danish region of Sjælland. Bioenergi Sjælland focuses on how the bioenergy
resources in the region can be utilized in the most optimal way. The result will be 18 specific cases, ready in
the autumn of 2014. These 18 cases will consist of different types of facilities that fit the local resources and
circumstances. The goal with these case-examples is to make the process of preparing new bioenergy
facilities easier and less time consuming. As a result the project focuses on:
• Resources and agricultural requirements
• Economical and practical opportunities and barriers
• Best available business models
• The foundation for realizing new projects
There are various reasons for this initiative, especially the need for prefeasibility studies which can help
ensuring the most suitable placing and construction of all the facilities. Another important issue is
contributing to achieving new incomes to the agriculture sector of the region by accelerating the demand for
agricultural co-products.
The closing conference will give an overview of all the detailed material, and explain how it can be
downloaded and used by all relevant target groups.
