ECOSTONE®cellulase enzymes contain both neutral, acid and hybrid enzymes in difference concentrations, offering unique combinations that make these enzymes highly effective in creating a rich variety of effects on denim. They give denim finishers the flexibility to use a wide range of washing parameters, depending on the precise requirements of the process.

Neutral ECOSTONE® C-series are notable for the superior results they achieve in back staining and contrast and efficiency, regardless of the machinery used in the stone washing process. Acid cellulases provide fast, cost-effective performance where high output is a key factor.

New high performance hybrid cellulases are specially designed for modern denim stone wash processes, and provide outstanding advantages even at low temperatures. They are extremely effective in the short washing time, low back staining, high contrast and big dot size typical of acid cellulase washes.

Denim Finishing with Ecostone® laccase

Laccases are innovative enzymes for the finishing of denim jeans. ECOSTONE®LCC 10 oxidizes the indigo dye with the help of a mediator radical (oxidizing agent). This means that it can be used for the decolorization of indigo or bleaching of denim. Because it is easy to control, a variety of shades and looks can be obtained by changing the dosage or treatment time. With ECOSTONE®LCC 10, even the lightest shades are possible. It has no adverse effects on the strength of denim containing Lycra or other elastic materials.
