Inverter response time is critical to achieve efficient export control for PV system and Delta has the minimal

(1-2 seconds) response time when compared with other inverters on the market.

In test 1 (below) the time interval between two consecutive load adjustments is over 10 seconds, so that

you can tell clearly from the trend graph below that other inverters have approximately 5-8 seconds delay

to follow the power set point while the Delta inverters ramp up/down much faster to maximize solar

generation. The aim is to follow the red line to avoid tripping the protection relay.

In test 2, the time interval is roughly 2-5 seconds, which is to simulate what is happening in the real world.

Other inverter will lose the track of power set point and eventually cause lots of utility trips due to reverse

power protection but the performance of Delta inverters is not compromised thanks to the short inverter

response time. This means it has the ability to ramp quickly with a high step up and step down so that you

don’t trip the grid protection relay.
