Delphi DS Diagnostics 2017.01 Software Update

Please note:- Software update 2017.01 will be available from February 23rd 2017

New ‘Splash’ Screen Info This new feature will be used to provide the end user and their business greater functionality. The 2 key benefits are:- • Up to date information and news about the DS Diagnostic tool. This will be delivered direct to the

user via a ’splash’ screen function • Live information about Delphi products and offers available in the users specific region and country

To further enhance functionality, the software now has a link to facilitate access to fault code information and VESA within the VTI (Ultimate users only)

To enable this feature, the software now has a ‘i’ button added next to the DTC fault code information within the ISS or DTC pages :-

Important reminder End of Updates for Old Mini VCI The old Mini VCI was discontinued 3 years ago with the introduction of the new VCI We have given this product continuing support with both updates and repairs We no longer accept orders for a yearly license on this product. No further software updates will be made available Any users with the Old VCI hardware no longer have access to updates

IMPORTANT Since June 1st 2016, repairs for the Old Mini VCI are no longer available

Users will need to purchase the New VCI in order to receive the latest software and future updates

Product Piracy – The Facts

99 percent of counterfeit hardware is sold online. Delphi only sell through authorised distributors and retailers Software updates can only be completed with a genuine software License, and is a download only. Licenses are only sold through authorised distributors and retailers Using pirated hardware and software could potentially compromise the vehicle’s integrity during diagnosis and repair resulting in unrepairable damage Counterfeit hardware may not be capable of running the correct tests or decoding the information within the vehicle ECU Pirated software has been found to be a very early hacked version (E.g. 2.13.3) made to look newer. The genuine software has grown – 68 Car and 72 Truck brands covering over 1830 models across all systems ‘Delphi’ logo on the pirated hardware is of poor quality and incorrectly positioned Genuine hardware has a rubber outer case. The pirated version is hard plastic The upper part of the genuine hardware has a smooth matt finish. The pirated hardware is a cheap, rough, glossy coating Only genuine hardware has full Bluetooth connectivity. Pirated versions do not. Pirated hardware displays a fake CE marking, showing the product was ‘Made In China’. Genuine hardware displays an official CE marking, stating the product was ‘Made In Sweden’ Pirated hardware displays an out of serial number. If the unit displays ‘100251’, then the unit is fake Pirated hardware is not capable of the ‘Flight Recorder’ function due to missing components within the unit Genuine Delphi software will not ask you for a license key for activation

Getting the most from your DS You may not be seeing the full potential of your DS Diagnostic tool. If you are new to the Delphi DS, or you simply need a greater understanding of how best to use the Delphi DS software, then why not enroll for the DS Diagnostics User course.

The course is designed to provide an overview of the features and functionality of the tool, the support available, and also to provide you with hands on experience using the equipment in our dedicated training workshop. It is suitable for all skill levels, including Service, Diagnostic and Master Technician. The duration is 5 hours.
