Remarks• The preparation for the event started since the beginning of June 2010 when a work

plan was developed and submitted for the BC.

• Allocation of fund to the different project activities was quiet challenging. However,

the early planning results in the utilization of available resources.

• Different themes were tackled during the 1st workshop each of which needs further

investigation and research.

5

Page 6: DELPHE update062011

Conclusions• All the themes overviewed are important

• Sudan is similar to other DCs in the nature of the challenges

facing the CI

• Lack of collaboration between the stakeholders dominate the

list of problems

• Research is priority for the problem solving

• The professional institutions should act effectively

• The Universities “University of Khartoum” should take

responsibility of solving the problems of the SCI

• Comprehensive research on all the topics is required 6

the preparation of this workshop2. Keeping on budget but with the use of

facilities and available resources of the University lead to efficient use of the budget.

3. The constant support of the Faculty in funding the extras i.e. workshop paid an equal amount to that of the allocated DelPHE fund
