The information applies to taxable persons who are both residents and non-residents of the Slovak Republic, and whose revenues from bonds and treasury bills are paid from resources in the Slovak Republic or abroad. The Financial Directorate of the Slovak Republic published the Information on the Taxation of Individuals with Respect to Revenues from Bonds and Treasury Bills in 2014. The information applies to taxable persons who are both residents and non-residents of the Slovak Republic, and whose revenues from bonds and treasury bills are paid from resources in the Slovak Republic or abroad.

• Amendments to the Labour Code

The first amendment (passed by the National Council of the Slovak Republic) regulates the temporary secondment of employees by temporary employment agencies. The second amendment (currently subject to reading) proposes to eliminate the obligation to retrain employees with respect to traffic rules.

• Amendment to the Civil Code and the Civil Procedure Code

The amendment (currently subject to reading) is to introduce a more detailed regulation of protecting the life and health of individuals, as well as a more detailed regulation of providing financial compensation for non-material damage caused by a personal injury.

The Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic issued Decree dated 24 September 2014 No. MF/16232/2014-74 amending and supplementing Decree of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic dated 10 December 2008 No. MF/22273/2008-74 stipulating details on the arrangement, naming and content of items included in financial statements and on the extent of financial statements’ disclosures, the frame chart of accounts and accounting procedures for the Deposit Protection Fund, Investment Guarantee Fund, electronic money institutions and branches of foreign financial institution and on amendments to certain decrees, as amended.

The Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic issued Decree dated 24 September 2014 No. MF/18007/2014-74 amending and supplementing Decree of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic dated 13 December 2007 No. MF/25835/2007-74 stipulating details on the arrangement, naming and content of items included in financial statements and on the extent of financial statements’ disclosures, the frame chart of accounts and accounting procedures for mutual funds, pension funds and supplementary pension funds, as amended.

The Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic issued Decree dated 24 September 2014 No. MF/15523/2014-74 amending and supplementing Decree of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic dated 13 December 2007 No. MF/27076/2007-74 stipulating details on the arrangement, naming and content of items included in financial statements for reporting entities that keep accounting books in the single-entry bookkeeping system and carry out business activities or self-employment activities if they are required to support their expenses incurred for generating, securing and maintaining income to identify the income tax base, as amended.

The Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic issued Decree dated 24 September 2014 No. MF/16228/2014-74 amending and supplementing Decree of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic dated 18 December 2007 No. MF/26307/2007-74 stipulating details on the arrangement, naming and content of items included in financial statements and on the extent of financial statements’ disclosures, the frame chart of accounts and accounting procedures for security dealers and branches of foreign security dealers and on the amendment to and supplementation of certain decrees, as amended.

The Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic issued Decree dated 12 November 2014 No. MF/195532014-74 amending and supplementing Decree of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic dated 14 December 2005 No. MF/22933/2005-74 stipulating details on the arrangement, naming and content of items included in financial statements and on the extent of financial statements’ disclosures for health insurance companies, as amended.

• Amendment to the Health Insurance Act Regulating a Deductible Item in Health Insurance

On 28 November 2014, the National Council of the Slovak Republic passed an amendment to Act No. 580/2004 Coll. on Health Insurance regulating a decrease in health insurance payments of so-called low-income employees by introducing a deductible item with effect from 1 January 2015.

The notice of the Financial Directorate of the Slovak Republic on the uniform procedure in applying Act No. 431/2002 Coll. on Accounting, as amended, and the following regulations to the recognition of accounting transactions related to the purchases of excise stamps under Act No. 530/2011 Coll. on Excise Duty on Alcoholic Beverages, as amended, and Act No. 106/2004 Coll. on Excise Duties on Tobacco Products, as amended, in the accounting books of the purchaser of the excise stamps.
