A message writing activity on the
theme ‘Heal the Earth’ was con-
ducted for classes: VI-IX on April 18, 2017eulogizing the endless
glory of our lovely planet. The
aim was to spread aware-
ness about saving the natural re-
sources, protecting the biodiversi-
ty, developing ‘green habits’ and
saving paper.
TOOTY FRUITY VEGETUS
The pre- primary section conduct-ed a vegetable and fruit printing
activity for tiny tots on April 19,
2017. They dipped fruits and vege-
tables into paint and printed them
onto paper in random and ordered patterns.

the summer camp held at school were

Clay modelling activity was con-
ducted for the students of classes II-Vl. The students while smoothing
their fingers over the glazed surface
of clay developed an idea of shape,
form, perspective and a three-
dimensional world. Rolling, squeez-ing and forming the clay items re-
tained the artists’ attention for
hours. All were mesmerized by the
therapeutic quality of clay.

An Inter-House Kabaddi competi-
tion was organized by Delhi Public
School, Asansol on November 28, 2017. The final was intense as the
participants from both Jhelum and
Ravi houses were determined to
win the competition. In a seesaw
battle, both teams showed glimpses of why they were the finalists by
winning over the amazed spectators.

final against a very resilient Ravi

An air of patriotic fervor permeated
the atmosphere as Delhi Public School, Asansol celebrated India’s
69th Republic Day on 26th January,
2018 in the school ground. The patriotic fervour warmed up the
cold winter morning as the staff of
the school enthusiastically gath-
ered to hoist the national flag. The
Principal, Mr. R.D. Sharma, in his address to the gathering, urged
everyone to work with honesty
and dedication for the nation.

AND ONE IDENTITY
Republic Day was celebrated with
great splendor in Asansol Polo ground on January 26, 2018. The
students of DPS Asansol marched
proudly in perfect synchroniza-
tion. It was followed by cultural pro-grams. The main theme was to stop
acid attack. The dance recitals involv-
ing various movements, mesmerizing
formations engrossed the audiences to
the core.
SALUTE TO THE PATRIOT OF
PATRIOTS
A special assembly was conducted by Delhi Public School, Asansol on Janu-
ary 29, 2018 to pay homage to the
great freedom fighter, Netaji Subhas
Chandra Bose. The Principal urged the youth to follow his footsteps, propa-
gate his vision and ideology.

the students of class-X on Febru-
ary 18, 2018. The nostalgic mo-ments of the wonderful years

with dreams and aspirations for
future and the day was painted in various colors of sentiments and
joy.

FABULOUS VICTORY
All the schools from Burdwan
participated in the Inter District Karate Tournament, on February
3, 2018. With great determina-
tion, Arnab Bangal of class-II per-
formed flawlessly and brought laurels to school by winning sec-
ond position in ‘Kumita’ at state
level.
