• Founded in 2007 by Applied Earth Science students and alumni

• Non-profit organisation, 4-man board: 2 students, 2 alumni

• Initial goal 2007: drilling rig on the campus asap!

• Supported by a large network of Dutch mining engineers

• Supported by industry partners and government

• Quickly received permits and made initial well design
