nex DELFINA FOUNDATION The new Delfina Foundation building will accommodate different audiences and participants in a flexible way, while providing an innovative infrastructure to support a close knot community through the exchange of art practices and cultural discovery. Our concept of the Flux Archive at Delfina is a new wall that encloses the stairs and connects the five floors of the building. The archive is housed on one side of this wall and extends over the ground and first floors. A series of mirror polished stainless steel niches on the rear of the archive walls wedge themselves between the formal archive and are then dispersed outwards through the whole building on this wall. The niches contain and reflect something of the experiences of the residents who pass through the foundation. The Flux Archive will communicate the practices and work of residents to a wide audience in an intuitive way, while offering them the chance to interact and learn through unseen residents from the past, and leave an impression on somebody else’s future. DELFINA FOUNDATIONThe new Delfina Foundation building will accommodate different audiences and participants in a flexible way, while providing an innovative infrastructure to support a close knot community through the exchange of art practices and cultural discovery.
