Family Campgrounds Five parks have campgrounds for family-style camping. Each campground has a contact station, camp store, shower and bath facilities and laundry facilities. Camping types include:

Standard sites: All state park campgrounds have standard sites for single family camping. Each campsite has a parking area for one vehicle, a picnic table and fire ring. Standard sites have amenities including; connection to, water, electric and sewer, water

only or water and electric sites. Some sites are limited to tents only to enhance the camping experience for the more rustic camper. Walk-In Tent Sites: Campsites requiring the camper to park their vehicle in a location separate from the campsite are tent only sites. Camping Cabins: Camping cabins have sleeping accommodations for 4 or 6 people and includes; a screened porch or deck and an outside living area with a picnic table, and fire ring. Cabins: Cabins have sleeping accommodations for 4-6 people and include; a kitchenette, bathroom, one bedroom, screened porch, fire ring and picnic table. Waterfront Cottages: Waterfront cottages have three bedrooms, bath, kitchen, and living area and screen porch. These exclusive units are located at Delaware Seashore State Park along the Indian River Inlet. Yurts: A Mongolian inspired structure, this dome structure has an open floor plan furnished for up to four people. Amenities include; picnic table, fire ring and deck and AC and electric.

Camping Seasons – Seasons are separated into four distinct periods: Summer: Friday of Memorial Day weekend to Monday of Labor Day weekend. Peak Summer: the second Friday in June to the second Thursday in August.

Spring and Fall: SPRING - March 1 to Thursday before Memorial Day Weekend. FALL - Tuesday after Labor Day to October 31st.

Winter: November 1 to February 28.
