FLIGHT TRAINING PROGRAM

Discovery Flight

What to expect: • Introduction to your flight

instructor. • Aircraft preflight and walk

around. • receive a safety briefing. • Normal taxi and takeoff. • Student will be given the

controls after reaching 1000 feet.

• Instructor will be demonstrating the four fundamentals of flight which will include straight and level flight climbs, turns and decents.

FAA Requirements to Obtain a Private Pilot Certificate:

1. Be at least 17 years of age 2. Be able to read, write, and converse

fluently in English 3. Obtain at least a third-class FAA medical

certificate 4. Complete a ground school curriculum. 5. Pass a knowledge test with a score of 70%

or better. 8. Successfully complete a practical (flight)

test given as a final exam by an FAA inspector

Private Pilot Flight Course

The flight and ground courses are designed within a two year maximum duration, allowing you to complete the course at your own pace.

Someone working or going to school can anticipate 6-8 months to complete the course; someone taking flight training every day can complete the course around 45 days. • National average completion: 75 flight hrs.

McCreery Aviation Academy:50-70 flight hrs.
