Definition and Availability of the Contractual User Types Classify your users in accordance with your contractual agreements and their authorization and meaning with regard to the underlyingpricelist. As of SAP Web AS 6.10, the user types are listed for each price list on the User Types tab page.The user types of the various SAP price lists, and in particular from the mySAP.com price list, are available to you as a SupportPackage for SAP releases below 4.6B (see SAP Note 428479).If you require additional mySAP users types for the Business Suite and the Individual Solutions for user classification, which are not yetavailable in the measurement program for your release status, you can download these individually or together from the SAP ServiceMarketplace and install them.

After discussion with your SAP contact, use the special module user types for the measurement of user types that are not yet part ofyour measurement program:

● Specify or overwrite the available special module user types with the appropriate name.

● User the special module user types to clearly classify your users.

When measuring mySAP.com users for releases below SAP R/3 4.0B, note SAP Note 359271, or contact your SAP contact person forsystem measurement.The assignment of the standard user types depends on the status of the client. The standard user type from the valid price list isassigned to users that have not yet been classified only in clients with the status Productive.The user type Test is assigned as the standard user type to all other users (in clients with other statuses).The prerequisite for this standard user type assignment:

USMM: SAP Web AS 6.20 SP 7LAW: SAP Web AS 6.20 SP 19Plug-In: as of Version 4.03

As of SAP NetWeaver 2004 SPS 8 or SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SP9, you can also specify a standard user type for the price listmySAP.com Individual Solutions and for any price list combination.

You can select this standard user type using the input help; all professional user types from the selected price lists are displayed.

If you only select the SW Components price list or mySAP.com Solution Suite price list, the standard user type is predefined, and thesystem shows it in a grayed out input field.

User Types of the mySAP.com Solution Suite Price ListFor a detailed description and definition of the user types of the mySAP.com Solution Suite and the special user types and examples,see the SAP Service Marketplace.

The user types Special Module type 1 to 9 are only permissible if corresponding contractual agreements have been reached with SAPor after discussion with the SAP contact person responsible for system measurement. If these user types are used without contractualagreement, the evaluation rules of the user type mySAP.com Category II/Professional are used.

Examples of user types of the mySAP.com Individual Solutions are:● mySAP CRM Professional

Classify all valid users in accordance with your licensed mySAP.com solution. When measuring mySAP.com Individual Solutions, thereare no standard user types that the system can use for unclassified users. Therefore, an error message is displayed if there areunclassified users.

User Types of the SAP Software Components Price ListFor a detailed description and definition of the user types of the mySAP.com Software Components price list, the SAP New Dimensionproducts, and the special user types and examples, see the SAP Service Marketplace.

As of SAP Web AS 6.20, users without classification in production systems are counted as Operational.Examples of user types for SAP R/3 general function blocks are:

● Operational

● Information

● Development Workbench

Examples of user types for SAP New Dimension users are:● SAP APO: G.ATP

● SAP CFM: TM (incl. OP)

Special Module and IS user types:● Special Module type 1 to 9

● IS User Type 81 to 85

These user types are only permissible if corresponding contractual agreements have been reached with SAP or after discussion withthe SAP contact person responsible for system measurement. If these user types are used without contractual agreement, theevaluation rules of the user type Operational are used.

Type ID User Type Notes04 Substitute Can only be created in the SAP system for

a limited period of time (such as forvacation representation). During this time,this user can use the functions of anotheruser as a substitute. This other user mustnot be active in the SAP system during thistime. Substitutes and substituted usersmust be created in the same client. Sincethe other user is already evaluated inaccordance with its assignment, itssubstitute is free-of-charge.

11 Multi-Client/System Non-chargeable user that is used for theusers that have already been classifiedonce as a chargeable user in a differenceclient or system. Every multi-client/multi-system user that is created in a differentclient or system must be assigned to achargeable user in the same or a differentsystem and can only use, at most, thesame functions as that user.

91 Test Can only be created in production systemsin the following exceptional cases:

● There are no test systems available.

● The user is being used exclusively toprepare the production use of modules thatare not yet productive in the productionsystem.

You should agree the classification of testusers with SAP.

92 External Contact For automatically created users (such asInternet users), that

● Do not belong to the SAP licensee

● Do not participate in the value chain

(SAP Note 313585).

Technical UsersAs of SAP Web AS 6.10, the measurement program counts only the dialog users created in the system. SAP’s own and technical usersare excluded from the measurement. The measurement log lists

● The automatically excluded SAP users for each client

● The users for each category after technical users type (see below)

The following technical user types are counted by released below SAP Web AS 6.10. You must manually classify them as test users(SAP Notes 327917, 553606, and 200980):

● Dialog● Communications● System● Service● Reference

Users are also technical systems that exchange information with the SAP system, and their users. Direct and indirect accesses requirelicensing.Indirect means that the user communicates with a system upstream from the SAP software that bundles, temporarily stores, orsummarizes communication activities and transmits them to the SAP installation.In the case of an indirect use of the SAP software, specify the number of externally defined users separately.SAP states that technical system access by multiple persons as one defined user is not permissible. This also applies for systemaccess by technical systems and their users.
