Page 2: December 25, 2016 10:30am - Moraga Valley … What Child Is This? - arr. Mark Hayes ... Merry Christmas! December 25, 2016 10:30am ... grow in your faith, give of yourself in service,

Welcome, friends: We’re so grateful that you’re celebrating this Christmas Day with us. If you’re new, our goal is that you feel at home from start to finish. We invite you to consider making MVPC your church home. We want to provide a safe place where you can ask questions of faith and doubt and seek the truth. We offer you ourselves as a community where you can gather with others, glorify God, grow in your faith, give of yourself in service, and

go and make a difference. This morning, through our offering of music and the spoken word, we celebrate God’s greatest gift of His Son, who entered our world, becoming one of us, in order to demonstrate God’s love and offer Himself and His very life to reconcile us to God. Our purpose at Moraga Valley Presbyterian Church is to know Christ and make Him known. Our vision is to be a community church making a global impact for Christ. We’d love to have you join us in this exciting, meaningful journey. May God’s joy and peace be yours as you celebrate His birth today and every day. Merry Christmas!

Pastor Rob Perkins

Christmas Offering 2016Every Christmas MVPC takes a special offering for our mission partners, reaffirming our partnership with them and allowing us to help them in specific ways. If you would like to contribute to these ministries, please use the “Christmas Offering” envelope in the pew racks. Thank you for your support!

Kids Alive International, Dominican Republic and PeruYour contribution will support the purchase of a dryer for the orphanage in Andahuaylas, Peru, and the College Tuition Fund for promising kids in Jarabacoa, DR. Kids Alive International provides care and education to orphaned and displaced children and youth, introducing them to the transforming power of Jesus Christ. Through orphanages, schools and care centers, children are raised to become contributing members of their own society and witnesses of Jesus to their own people.

Short-Term Mission Travel FundYour contribution will support scholarships for people to participate in MVPC short-term mission trips. MVPC believes participation in mission trips can change lives for God’s glory and offers several trips each year to the Dominican Republic, Peru and Joni and Friends Family Camps.

January 2nd, 5:15am-7pm – Join professional photographer Andrew Grupe for a day trip to Lodi to observe and photograph the Sandhill Cranes. More details and registration on our website: mvpctoday.org.

Last chance to receive a tax benefit for year-end gifts to MVPC!Christmas Day is the last Sunday of 2017! MVPC’s ministries depend heavily on year-end giving. We are still $115,000 short of our goal for the calendar year. Please consider making a special extra year-end gift to help meet our goal. Gifts of appreciated stock and other real assets may have significant tax advantages. MVPC can also receive credit card and direct deposit donations. Please contact John Greenblatt (x232) or Nat Weber (x235) for year-end or other giving questions.
