Lord, our God, we praise You for Your Son, Jesus Christ, for He is Emmanuel, the Hope of all people. He is the Wisdom that teaches and

guides us. He is the Savior of us all. O Lord, let your blessing come upon us as we

light all candles of this wreath. May the wreath and its light be a sign of

Christ's promise of salvation. May He come quickly and not delay.

I want to let you know that due to the delicate health of Msgr. Demkovich, the Healing Mass that takes place every first Saturday of every month is sus-pended. This was part of his pastoral service to people who were in poor health. We have to understand that out of respect for Monsignor Demkovich, no priest of the parish shall assume this service.

Let us have Msgr. Demkovich in our prayers for a speedy recovery.

Advent Reflection for the 4th Sunday of Advent SUNDAY, DECEMBER 24

Therefore the Lord himself will give you this sign: the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and shall name him Immanuel. (Isaiah 7:14)

Reflection: Sometimes the signs God gives are unmistakable. Sometimes the signs are not so obvious. What signs do we see when we look around us? Sometimes it is hard to see God's signs because the signs of our world are so ever present and large. How many times this month have you seen this sign: "ONLY 20 (or 18, or 10, or 6 or…) MORE SHOPPING DAYS 'TIL CHRISTMAS." Do we ever stop to think, "How many praying days left until Christmas?"

Advent Action: Look around you for a sign of God's presence. When you find it, share it with someone.

Quiero hacerle saber que debido a lo delicado de la salud de Msgr. Demko-vich, la Misa de sanación que se realiza todos los primeros sábados de ca-da mes está suspendida.

Tenemos que entender, esto formaba parte de su pastoral en servicio a personas que se encontraban delicadas de salud, por respeto a su persona ningún sacerdote de la parroquia va asumir este servicio.

Reflexión de Adviento para el cuarto domingo de Adviento DOMINGO, 24 DE DICIEMBRE

Por lo tanto, el Señor mismo les dará esta señal: la virgen concebirá y dará a luz un hijo, y le pondrá por nombre Emanuel. (Isaías 7:14)

Reflexión: A veces los signos que Dios da son inconfundibles. Algunas veces los sig-nos no son tan obvios. ¿Qué signos vemos cuando miramos a nuestro alrededor? A veces es difícil ver los signos de Dios porque los signos de nuestro mundo están siem-pre presentes y son grandes. ¿Cuántas veces en este mes ha visto este letrero: "SOLO 20 (o 18, o 10, o 6 o ...) MÁS DÍAS DE COMPRAS HASTA NAVIDAD". ¿Alguna vez nos paramos a pensar: "¿Cuántos días de oración quedan hasta la Navidad?"

Acción de Adviento: Mire a su alrededor en busca de una señal de la presencia de Dios. Cuando lo encuentres, compártelo con alguien.

Oración Oh, ven, oh Llave de David, ven y abre de par en par nuestro hogar celestial; Asegure el camino que conduce a lo alto, y cierre el camino a la miseria.
